McDonald’s has been in Singapore since 1979. That’s forty years. From the baby boomers to the Millennials - and all the Gen X’s, Y’s and Z’s in between, everyone has pretty much grown up with it.

 Through the years, it’s the brand that’s unified the community – thanks to its familiarity, comfort, quality. And it’s where families, colleagues, and friends gather.

So as McDonald’s turns 40 in 2019, we celebrate not just the people at McDonald’s; but what it means for the people. Because for many, McDonald’s isn’t just another ‘fast-food place’, the third place, or whatever; it’s become something much, much more.

 For many, McDonald’s is home.

 Because when you’ve known a place for 40 years, wouldn’t you call it home?
